Brazed plate heat exchanger is a kind of heat exchanger with smaller volume and wider application. It is made by a series of brazed metal sheets with certain corrugated shape. Thin rectangular channels are formed between various plates through which heat is exchanged. Compared with conventional shell-and-tube heat exchangers, its heat transfer coefficient is much higher under the same flow resistance and pump power consumption, and there is a trend of replacing shell-and-tube heat exchangers in the applicable range.
